Strandwood Elementary School

Strandwood Walk N Roll Roadies hit the ground running as the second school to launch a weekly Walk N Roll program in May 2024—and participation took off fast! At the end of their first school year, Strandwood averaged 142 daily participants and 38 bikes or scooters on Fridays, with 25 on non-Walk N Roll days. Now in their second full year, and led by AnnaLaura Scandrett, Strandwood is averaging 165 participants on Walk N Roll Friday, with 52 students biking and scooting - dropping only slightly to 45 on the other days of the week. That’s a huge leap from year one. The growth speaks for itself—Strandwood Roadies are truly rolling strong!
